Are you organising or have been invited to speak at a conference? Was the word ‘Hopin’ mentioned? Whether you are the organiser or the speaker, the word ‘Hopin’ shouldn’t scare you off the platform. If it is, this simply means you need to gain some confidence by learning about it. Scroll down below to the video!
Organiser hesitations
If you are the organiser, your hesitation to run it on Hopin (or any other solution that isn’t Zoom) is probably around the speakers’ familiarity with the technology and ease of use. ‘Will they need hours of training? Will we fail on the day because someone will forget what they are supposed to do?’. you may ask yourself. These are all valid concerns!
Having done multiple technical training sessions with speakers that we had the pleasure to work with as part of our event management services, we noticed that most first-time keynoters and panellists have stage jitters around the technology used. It’s brand new, so it’s understandable!
Walk-through video on the navigation of Hopin as a speaker
To put you at ease, we have put together a video walk-through on how to navigate this platform from the perspective of a speaker from the moment they’re signed up for the event. See how easy it is to go on the Hopin stage yourself!
BEWARE! The following tutorial only applies if the organiser or the event manager/ company hasn’t opted to use RTMP stream software, for example, OBS. If you have been told that the event will be streamed on social media, it’s likely that the RTMP stream has been set up.
